ABOUT JUDITH
ADAM
Judith Adam is a horticulturist and landscape
designer who also writes for many magazines, including Canadian
Gardening, Chatelaine, Homemakers,
and Canadian House and Home. She is a frequent guest
on gardening shows on the HGTV and Discovery networks and
is the author of several books, including New City Gardener,
which was named one of “the great gardening books”
in Canadian Gardening’s 10th Anniversary edition. Additional
books by Judith Adam include High Performance Perennials:
Low Maintenance Flowers with Extended Bloom, and The
Hungry Herb Gardener: Growing and Using Culinary Herbs.

Did you know ...
A simple mowing strip made from hardened bricks or concrete
cobblestones can permanently end the chore of edging the
lawn.
Setting the bricks or cobbles into the soil along the
edge allows the lawn mower wheel to ride over the mowing
strip and cut a clean edge on the lawn every time.
